Pollinate Trading
Project: Subscriber Landing Page, Email Welcome Sequence & Homepage Copywriting
Pollinate Trading is an education company that teaches aspiring day traders how to become profitable with quantitative systems-based strategies through its flagship course, the Pollinate Trading Lab. The Lab is both a set of video-based modules and a private Slack channel where Lab members collaborate and share knowledge in order to help each other become proficient at systems trading.
Chris Dover, the owner, primarily prospects for new customers using Twitter as well as his Youtube channel, where he covers the markets with his own analysis and commentary. From there, users are invited to subscribe to his free newsletter.
The challenge: In order to help Chris sell more memberships to the Lab, he needed fresh copy that would inspire action at each step in his sales funnel after someone finds him on social media.
This required persuading new prospects to first join his email list and then purchase a lab membership within the first week of receiving his welcome emails.
The solution: I wrote brand new copy for the landing page after someone clicks a link to subscribe to his newsletter off of Twitter.
I then wrote an original seven-email welcome sequence that slowly takes the reader from a state of problem-awareness to solution-awareness before introducing a time-sensitive discount of 50% off of Lab memberships. (For brevity I have excluded the more analysis-heavy demo emails).
Finally, I wrote new copy for the entire homepage so that the website delivers exactly what someone using a search engine would be looking for.
